Welcome to the website of the Academy for Evangelism in Theological Education! The Academy is an association of teachers of evangelism in seminaries and others who are involved in the teaching of evangelism. We believe that evangelism has an integral place in the life of a healthy church, and that it should be a source of congregational joy and vitality. Our vision is that churches should practice forms of evangelism which are based on the model of Jesus, theologically grounded, and culturally sensitive. To that end, we seek to teach evangelism, particularly to those training for congregational leadership, to the highest academic and spiritual standards. Through the Annual Meeting, our annual Journal, and deepening collegiality among members, our goal is to improve our teaching of evangelism to the glory of God, to the more effective sharing of the Gospel, and the strengthening of the Church.
